DENTURE OPTIONS

1 - Initial Placement  - Least Expensive

The patient is referred to an oral surgeon or their general dentist for extraction. After healing for six (6) to eight (8) weeks, we have them come in for the impressions to start their dentures. At approximately six months, a reline appointment is scheduled.

The cost of the reline is "NOT" included in the original price of the dentures.

PROS: The patient is able to try their teeth in while they are set up in wax. The benefit of this is that the patient is able to see what the denture(s) will look like. If the patient does not the arrangement of the teeth or the tooth color, shape, or size, we can change it before the denture(s) is completely finished. Another benefit is the denturist will be able to double-check the original measurements of your bite, proper midline placement, and overall esthetics.

CONS: Patient must go without teeth for at least six (6) to eight (8) weeks before denture process can be started and then wait another four (4) to six (6) weeks for the completion of the denture(s).

2 - Immediate Permanent Dentures  -  Mid Price

The patient is scheduled with the denturist for four (4) to six (6) appointments to have the denture(s) made prior to the extractions of their teeth. The patient will have their extractions and teeth placed at the same time. After approximately four (4) to six (6) weeks we will schedule the patient for a temporary reline appointment. The initial temporary reline is included in the cost of the denture. The patient may have additionatemporary relines done at half the normal fee. Approximately six (6) months after the placement of the their denture(s), the patient will need to schedule an appointment to have a permanent reline done. This fee is "NOT" included in the original price of the denture.

PROS: The patient does not have to go without teeth at any time.

CONS: We are unable to try the teeth in before they are placed. Therefore, we are unable to verify the bite and the patient is #unable to approve of the aesthetics prior to processing. If for any reason either of these#things is incorrect there may be a fee to make the necessary corrections.

3 - Interim or Transitional Immediate Dentures  -  Most Expensive

The patient is scheduled to see the denturist for approximately four (4) to six (6) appointments prior to their extractions to have a temporary set of dentures made. The patient's extractions are done and the temporary set of dentures made. The patient's extractions are done and the temporary dentures are placed at the same time.

The patient may have additional temporary relines done at half of the normal fee. After six (6) months, the patient will come back to have a permanent set of dentures made.
